OHS (Oregon Herpetological Society) - This group is a meeting place
for members and people interested in the Oregon
Herpetological Society. The OHS is based in Eugene, Oregon
and is dedicated to educate others in the keeping of reptiles and amphibians.
We are very active in the community, as well as helping with research projects
in the area on local native species.
NOTE: This list is to be used as a resource
guide to assist with finding a vet that specializes in reptiles in OR & WA.
The Vetrinarians listed should be screened carefully to ensure they have the specific
species knowledge and experience to deal with your reptiles health issues
when needed. Kricket's
Kritters
recommends that you find a good vet BEFORE you need one, call around, ask questions. Don't lose a reptile
friend because you can't find a vet when you really need one...
The aim of this network is to create one location where you can find
breeders and suppliers of Bearded Dragons who have adopted a common
ethics policy. It is designed to help provide you with the ability to
avoid those pet stores and breeders that sell very small, too young or
sickly Bearded Dragons.
The suppliers listed on this site have agreed :
Not to sell (retail) tiny newborn hatchlings.
Not to sell babies until they are at least either 6 weeks old or 6" long (snout to tail).
To have a strict policy of keeping their bloodlines as mixed as possible, even when breeding for color, size or build.
